SV-Audio Astrid

The name Astrid originates from the Old Norse Ásfríðr, meaning “beloved by the gods.” A strong Nordic name associated with warmth, authority, elegance, and presence — qualities that naturally reflect the loudspeaker itself. Astrid is developed as a true 2-way line source loudspeaker built around four 5” drivers, all operating across the same frequency range. The result is a wide and stable soundstage where recordings unfold with openness, coherence, and natural flow.

The increased total membrane area allows Astrid to move air with greater authority and ease, creating a presentation with strong physical presence and stability. A dual-chamber cabinet construction, carefully controlled driver integration, and precise time alignment contribute to a presentation where recordings unfold as a connected whole, with natural flow between tones and instruments. When this relationship is correct, the soundstage becomes more natural and precise, extending clearly in front of the listener.

Developed and manufactured in Denmark, Astrid builds on the same sound and design philosophy that defines every SV-Audio loudspeaker: balance, timing, and emotional connection to the recording. With Astrid, SV-Audio has focused intensely on reproducing voices with natural presence, body, and richness, supported by a bass foundation that feels controlled, physical, and alive. The solid aluminum front baffle, featuring the machined SV-Audio logo and the company’s trademarked radiating machined pattern, forms a central part of Astrid’s visual and acoustic identity.
