Ansuz Darkz T3W
Outstanding Musical Refinement
Consists of three discs and ball bearings that focus vibrations into tiny contact points, allowing unwanted resonances to escape and be converted into heat — ensuring effective mechanical grounding. Engineered with a two-fold purpose in mind; to visually blend with any component they’re meant to work under, and to support it, so that its true potential can be unlocked.
The performance is moving up with the T3W model. The discs and the shaft are made of glass-blasted titanium, one of the hardest commercially available materials and incorporates Wolfram balls. For many years Titanium Darkz were the very best resonance control devices we could offer. But then we got into Zirconium.
Design Philosophy
When defining the exact set-up and the dimensions of the Darkz, Ansuz Acoustics was exclusively guided by its core philosophy to always strive for the ultimate in sound quality. The Ansuz Darkz consists of 3 discs. Each of the upper two discs floats on 3 interlayer balls to ensure excellent handling and absorption of vibrations.
Cryogenic Treatment
The Ansuz Darkz undergo a cryogenic treatment to increase their conductivity. When metal components undergo a cryogenic processing, they are subjected to extreme cooling temperatures of about -321°F (-196° C ). During this process, the crystal structure of the metal contracts more and more. Alloying elements are displaced from the grain structure of the metal, which now becomes very similar to a monocrystal. These structural changes in the metal have profound effects on its audio properties, resulting in a 6-8% increase in conductivity.
